His Story
Adam is the son of the late Louis H Piatek, Sr. and Carol and George Lavallee Sr. of Griswold CT. He is the Grandson to Lorraine Hebert of Jewett City, and also the brother to Missy, Louis, Brandon, George (Jr), and Debra all of New London, County.
Adam attended the Griswold School system from K through 12th grade. School typically came easy to him as he always loved to read and loved learning. Life is life however, and at the time, he had no clue what he really wanted to do as an adult day after day. Adam took College Prep classes in anticipation of going to college and eventually earning a degree in either Computer Science, or Engineering (but which one!?). Most of you know Adam as the go-to guy for all your Computer/Technology related questions or to ask what that new building under construction is going to be. He has always been glued to technology, business, and construction. Many family and friends assumed he would continue on the technology path, however not all of them knew the following story. In Kindergarten, Adam’s Step Father, George, took him out of class one day and brought him work. That day was special. He specifically picked Adam up that day because they were pouring some concrete for a new fueling station at the Lisbon State Highway Garage. George knew Adam was infatuated with machinery. He absolutely loved it. Big trucks! Loud noises! RAW POWER! George was also the person who reached into his pocket to purchase Adam’s first computer, an IBM PC Jr from a yard sale at Rubino’s Restaurant in Griswold, CT. Flash forward to today, and Adam has been a certified Commercial Building Special Inspector, for the past 13 years and is also the co-owner and operater of several technology based small businesses that help him pass the time while Sara is working 3rd shift.

Adam looks forward to continuing to expand on these certifications in both fields, and to shortly begin a degree in Engineering JUST as soon as we finish paying for Sara’s schooling (haha) He would eventually love to be a work from home dad running his business and doing consulting for both industries. He also looks forward to being the best Husband he can be!
