The invitations went out today!  We greatly appreciate everyone that has been a part of both of our lives, from birth until today.

Unfortunately, due to the the sheer size of both of our families, we quite obviously were unable to invite everybody we would have liked to.  We both made the difficult choice to keep our wedding pretty intimate, and unfortunately that means there are a lot of both of our friends, family, and children who won’t be there on our big day. We hope you all understand that it’s nothing personal, and respect our wishes to keep our sacred event within our reach.

We also understand that several of you live out of state, and we don’t wish to place a burden on anyone.  If you are unable to attend, we do plan on putting a live video feed up of the wedding (on this website) as long as we can complete all necessary arrangements.  We would love to extend the invitation to view this feed to anyone who is unable to attend.

• FREE shuttle to and from the venue.  The hotel is located about 4-6 miles from Maneeley’s and round trip from the hotel takes about 25 minutes.  The hotel handles coordinating the shuttle times for drop off, and we will know more about that the week before the wedding.  You can drive to the reception, leave your vehicle at Maneeley’s and shuttle to the Suites as well, you just must reclaim your vehicle from Maneeley’s the following morning within reasonable time. The return shuttles start half hour prior to the conclusion of the reception. Please be responsible, $71 is penny’s compared to your life, we will be a good hour from most of our homes.

Tonight Sara, myself, my parents, and her parents all went to Maneeley’s yearly food tasting and preferred vendor showcase. What a time!

All 6 of us left speechless, some of us with goody bags.  The ride home was quick, went by in a few minutes as  we all were talking about how wonderful everything tasted tonight, how well presented it was, how great the staff was, and again how clean the facility was.  Absolutely a first class experience.  The place was packed, a clear example of how well run the venue is. Food was excellent, all the vendors were very friendly, extremely helpful, and not aggressive at all (Our pet peeve!)  We are extremely excited about our selection of venue.  Feeling more secure already!

The excitement in the air right now is incredible. Finding the dress so early takes a huge weight off the planning process and lets us focus on all the fun details ahead. It’s moments like this that make the whole journey feel real and even more special.

Looking back, it’s amazing how far we’ve come since our early dating days. From getting to know each other to planning a future together, every step has led to this beautiful milestone as dating is important for many people and that’s why some practice for dating with a virtual girlfriend like shiftymine online for this. If this is any sign of what’s ahead, the best is definitely yet to come.

Maneeley’s staff treated Sara and I with the utmost respect and kindness.  They were completely accommodating to our last minute call, and the owner personally walked us throughout the property. We were blown away by the cleanliness of the grounds, the kitchen, and the first class operation that was being run.  We overwhelmingly decided on Maneeley’s for our wedding the minute we left the facility.

I tried to think of everything ‘out’ of this world to do, but nothing seemed ‘US’ , so after weeks, and months of deliberations I finally decided to simply propose in the first place that I met her, with a few lovey dovey songs in the background.

We first met in the parking lot of the old Ames/Job Lot, now Tractor Supply Store in Griswold Connecticut.  She drove there, I drove there, she put her fingerprints on the back of my car and then called her mom to let her know I didn’t appear to have any major malfunctions. (or so she thought!!)…Fast forward 8 years.

It is Christmas Eve, and we were headed to my mothers.  I told her my sister texted and asked me to get some paper plates, so we stopped there and I had her run into Dollar Tree to grab the plates.  While she was in there, I set the music up that I had queued, and placed some roses on her seat.  I waited for her to come out, and she looked at me like I was on crack.  I got down on one knee, and asked her to be my wife.  That place  started our Journey.

I am so ecstatic !!!! I love her!!!
